Hello, and welcome to The Senior Edit! I’m thrilled to have you here. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the complexities of the Aged Care system or just need a little guidance on navigating life’s later years, you’re in the right place.

Why I Created This Blog
I’ve spent years working in the Aged Care sector, and through my role as a My Aged Care assessor, I’ve heard countless stories about how frustrating and confusing the system can be. I’ve seen families and older adults struggle with the maze of paperwork, phone calls, and ever-changing rules—and honestly, it’s enough to make anyone want to tear their hair out. That’s why I decided to create The Senior Edit.
I want to provide a space where you can get straightforward, no-nonsense advice that’s easy to understand (and maybe even a little funny). Aging doesn’t have to be scary or confusing, and neither does the process of accessing Aged Care services. My goal is to make this journey a little smoother for you—whether you’re navigating My Aged Care for the first time or just looking for ways to stay healthy, active, and engaged.
What to Expect
Here on The Senior Edit, you’ll find everything from practical tips for managing Aged Care to wellness advice and fun ideas for hobbies and activities that will keep you engaged and entertained. I’ll be sharing insights on using technology to make life easier, tips on staying active, and answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about aging and Aged Care.
But don’t worry—I won’t bore you with long-winded jargon or overly technical stuff. I’m all about making this process as painless as possible, with a little humour thrown in to keep things light-hearted. After all, aging might be inevitable, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a laugh along the way.
